When it comes to baby safety, it is important that additional steps are taken to make sure the child’s safety is properly met. Here are some steps that can be taken to increase baby nursery safety.

While crib bedding adds to the look of the nursery, you need to make sure that there are no strings, gaps or fluffy pillows that the baby could become tangled in. Some decorations can be pulled off therefore causing choking hazards. Be sure you inspect all crib bedding prior to putting it in the nursery.

You should invest in a sleep positioner or wedge. This will prevent the baby from moving around or turning over therefore helping to prevent suffocation.

You should uses a baby monitor. These provide clear audio and/or video of what is going on in the nursery room when you are not there. You will be able to react if any potential problems do occur.

You should also use safety plugs on all your outlets in the nursery. This will help kepp them from putting their curious fingers in the socket when they start scooting, crawling and walking.

You should also use safety latches on their dresser drawers and cabinets. This will prevent them from pulling things down on top of them or from climbing if you have an adventurous baby.

This is just a short lsit, as there is not a limit on the number of steps you should take to ensure baby nursery safety. It only takes a few simple steps that can increase safety and ease your worries.
