Travel Right and Light
Just imagine this: you’re given the chance to travel to the moon. Do you think you’ll be toting a large bag for your space suit? Nah. You’d be pulling along a small bag and tote the right travel accessories to cram in your gear. A leather briefcase and a padfolio are the travel accessories you’ll have to bring along on your space sojourn with the NASA astros.
You don’t have to bring in your wardrobe. Two shirts and pants and a pair of shorts will do. You’ll only wear a spacesuit if you’re going to do a spacewalk and NASA will sell you that for an atrocious fee. For your clothes, bring those you can’t stand to wear because you’ll have to burn them all as part of protocol.
But traveling to the moon is a remote possibility for ordinary mortals whose travels are limited to the four horizons of the globe. Wherever your trip, you have to have the appropriate travel accessories. It’s painful to see a man or woman balancing luggage and bags and racing for a taxi; traveling light is politically correct nowadays, when people seem to be in always in a hurry.
Travels For Business or Leisure
Traveling businesspersons have been targeted with travel accessories by companies that understand their business needs. They have created padfolios, passport holders, portfolios, briefcases, and travel alarm clocks. The list is even longer, but you can get what you need for a specific travel.
For those adventure travels, you won’t be caught dead with a leather briefcase, would you? You’ll live in a backpack, and learn how to live with the barest essentials – an extra pair of pants, three shirts, and two shorts. Stack up on the unmentionables to last you the entire trip. No extra shoes please, and oh, don’t forget to bring your toothbrush.
Women are harder to convince to travel light. They must bring that dress along just in case, or two extra pairs of shoes, just in case. They never know who they might meet. Some of them bring along an extra empty suitcase to fill with the spoils of their shopping expeditions. With women, they always bring along best travel accessories, again, just in case.
Weekend Sleepovers
Now this is somewhat tricky and depends where you’re going and who’ll you be with for the sleepover. If it’s an overnight camping break, women have to bring their tubes and jars and an extra of everything. The abundance of travel accessories make it easy for them to pack everything in the right container – a backpack or a make-up or toiletry bag. If it’s a sleepover with friends in the neighborhood, an overnight bag can accommodate your flimsy PJs and your makeup.
Young men do have their sleepovers, too. They just bring a pair of boxer shorts and an overnight shirt. No extras. That’s how guys are.

Your invitation wording can be either generic or specific. If you know the gender of the baby, then you should try to create gender specific wording for the invitation. There are wonderful little sayings for baby boys, as well as wonderful sayings for baby girls. But if the gender’s not yet known, don’t worry. There are many standard wording options as well.
You will find ideas online for twins, triplets, and even adoption baby shower invitation wording. You can search for ideas in many places, but the best place to look for anything in our world today is the Internet. Many invitation websites have what’s called ‘Wording Libraries’ where they offer hundreds of wording options for you. Your or formal depending on the overall style and theme of the event. Just be sure to be consistent. People will assume that casual wording means it’s going to be a casual event!
Your baby shower invitation wording needs to contain some important information, like the time, date, location, and the names of the guests of honor! Don’t forget to include where the mother or mother to be is registered for gifts. And perhaps you’re throwing a surprise baby shower – what fun! Just be sure to tell your guests to keep it quiet in the baby shower invitation wording. Here is a sample wording for baby shower invitations when you want to keep the big event a surprise:
Shhh! It’s a Secret!
A Surprise Baby Shower for
Anne Marie Glenn
and newborn Joe Steven

Here is a sample wording when the invitation is for an adopted baby:

Whatever you decide to say on your baby shower invitation, be sure to proofread your baby shower invitation wording and spelling to make sure that all of the information is correct. It would be a shame to order and pay for so many baby shower invitations, only to find printing mistakes and have the shipping delayed because of waiting for reprints. Taking time to proofread in advance is always a wise idea.
And if you’re not sure what to say, or if you’re not sure if the information is clear or if you wonder if it sounds all right, then don’t hesitate to get a second opinion. Family and friends can help you, and many vendors will have customer service representatives standing by ready to assist with wording for invitations.
While you’re ordering or creating the wording for your baby invitation, don’t forget to consider the wording of your thank you notes! Often these are ordered at the same time and made to match the invitations. Again, your wording can include poems quotes, etc. and you will want to keep the same style, color, or theme. Hopefully, you know the mother well enough to know what her preferences are.
And if you’re not trying to keep the baby shower event a surprise, then go ahead and ask her or her close family members about her opinions about the baby shower invitation wording. She may appreciate being a part of the decision making process, or she may be just as happy to have someone else make some decisions for her, so her mind can be on other important things, like preparing for the new baby’s arrival!

Do you have a baby shower coming up and can’t think what gift to give? Perhaps you would like to make something yourself but don’t think you have the skills. Well think again!
If you want something that is quite different, is totally impressive and will have everyone wanting one too, consider cakes made from nappies. They are the latest thing in the USA and are becoming popular in Australia too. They can look so professional you would not believe you could make one yourself. And if you still have doubts about whether you could do it yourself, one ‘nappy artist’ says it is so simple that even a man can do it! In fact her husband demonstrates how-to on an instruction video.
We know the ideal way to learn a craft is to watch an expert do it. Apparently, the technique is dependent on how you roll or fold the nappies. Having seen photographs of a few of these amazing structures, it is obvious you could easily end up sitting on a pile of nappies if you don’t know what your are doing. It is worth learning how to do it properly to really impress your friends and family.
How anyone could come up with such a novel idea, to make huge and amazing cakes out of simple nappies, says something about people’s creativity. And you can add your own touch of creativity in decorating your cakes to make them truly individual.
This is one gift that is highly decorative, while being totally practical. Of course the best way to learn any craft is by watching an expert, but the next best thing is to watch an expert on video, rather than ending up tearing your hair out trying to work it out yourself. There are instructional videos available to download onto your computer for a nominal fee, so you can learn the secrets to this craft then surprise your family and friends with a fabulous handmade gift.
One clever cake-maker provides money-saving and decorating tips to help you make the best cakes without spending too much money. You also get recipes and shopping lists to make different cakes.
Once you have the know-how, it only takes about 23 minutes to create one of these magnificent gifts. There are two different styles of nappy cake, using the nappies either rolled or folded, and both look great. If I received one of these I would be reluctant to dismantle it!
